Choosing the Right Combination

When creating a "hot" shortcut, the choice of keys is critical. You want a combination that is easy to press with one hand but unlikely to be pressed accidentally.

Launchpad: Press your Launchpad key (or click the icon), type "Activity Monitor" in the search bar, and click the icon.

The "Hot" Sequence:

  1. Press Cmd + Space (Spotlight Search)
  2. Type "Act" (just the first three letters)
  3. Press Enter
