Archicad | Library
The Archicad Library is a comprehensive collection of parametric Building Information Modeling (BIM) objects, including windows, doors, furniture, and structural elements, that are essential for creating detailed architectural models. These objects are primarily scripted using Geometric Description Language (GDL), which allows them to remain highly customizable while maintaining small file sizes. Core Library Types
- Do: Store the master Library on a fast office server or BIMcloud.
- Don't: Store the Library on a cloud sync folder (Dropbox/OneDrive) that is constantly "checking" files. This causes file-locking errors and crashes.

Library Part Maker (LPM): This powerful add-on allows architects to create detailed, GDL-based objects using standard Archicad tools (like Morphs, Slabs, or Walls) without needing to write a single line of code. archicad library
