The BS EN 14199 standard, titled "Execution of special geotechnical works – Micropiles," provides the general principles for constructing drilled piles with a diameter less than 300 mm. The current version is BS EN 14199:2015, which replaced the 2005 edition.  Scope and Applications  This standard covers the execution of: 

• Type A: Gravity grouted only.
• Type B: Grouted through a casing during withdrawal.
• Type C: Post-grouted via pre-installed tubes (sleeved). One phase.
• Type D: Repeated post-grouting (multiple phases) – these are high-capacity, high-quality micropiles.
