For professional automotive diagnosticians and Opel/GM enthusiasts, having access to factory-level software is non-negotiable. The trio of Opel Global TIS, TIS2Web, and Tech2Win represents the gold standard for diagnosing Opel, Vauxhall, and GM vehicles from the late 1990s to the mid-2010s.
Tech2Win: A PC-based emulator of the physical Tech 2 scan tool. It provides full diagnostic functionality (reading codes, live data, ECU programming) on a larger computer screen.
The problem was that GM’s original Global TIS (Technical Information System) and TIS2Web had been sunset years ago. The Tech2—a chunky, industrial-gray diagnostic tablet from the early 2000s—was obsolete by corporate standards.
