9. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I leave my Equate humidifier on all night?
A: Yes. Most Equate models have a 8-12 hour runtime on low mist. They also feature auto shut-off when empty. However, for safety, do not leave it unattended on high mist for more than 8 hours. Water Tank: Holds the water
- Rotate from “MIN” to “MAX” to increase mist output.
- Rotate to “OFF” (click) to power down.
- Unplug always before filling, cleaning, or moving the unit.
- Never add essential oils to the water tank or base. Use only the dedicated aroma tray (if equipped) with a few drops of oil on the absorbent pad. Oil will corrode the plastic and ultrasonic disk.
- Use only cool water. Never use hot or boiling water.
- Do not operate without water. Running the unit dry will damage the ultrasonic diaphragm and create a burning smell.
- Keep away from heat sources (stoves, radiators, direct sunlight).
- Do not submerse the base unit in water or any liquid. Wipe with a damp cloth only.
