FORScan Beta 2.4.18 Deep Dive: New Modules, Expanded EV Support, and Interface Overhaul

Released: Late March / Early April 2025 (Estimated)
Platform: Windows PC (Beta Branch)

1. Native Support for the vLinker FD (Finally)

For years, the OBDLink EX was the gold standard, and the wired vLinker FD was a close second. However, early versions of FORScan had minor handshake issues with the vLinker’s firmware.

Step 5: Connect Use your trusted OBD adapter (OBDLink EX or vLinker FD recommended). Connect to the vehicle, accept the "Beta" disclaimer, and let 2418 build a fresh module list.

Therefore, FORScan Beta 2418 is a build released in the 18th week of 2024. The "new" designation indicates that within the Beta channel, this is the most recent iteration, superseding Beta 2415 or 2410. It bridges the gap between the stable release (currently 2.3.59 as of this writing) and the future stable version 2.4.0.
