- Never leave the hot air gun in the stand at full temperature. The stand reflects heat back into the handle, melting the plastic trigger within 15 minutes. Always cool down to
100°Cbefore placing it in the stand. - Do not use the soldering iron and hot air simultaneously at max temp (480°C). The internal transformer is rated for 700W total. Combined draw exceeds 850W, leading to voltage sag and component failure.
- The "Ground" screw on the back is mandatory for sensitive ESD work. Connect a grounding wrist strap here. The stock power cord ground is often poorly soldered.
