• Default username: admin
• Default password: admin
• Default IP address: 192.168.1.10 (common) — check your device label or manual for the exact address.
• Default port: 80 (HTTP) or 443 (HTTPS) depending on model/settings.

Hardware Reset: Locate the physical reset button on the camera. Press and hold it for approximately 10 seconds while the device is powered on to revert all settings to factory defaults.

Issue 4: Browser Plug-in Required

• Fix: Hipcam cameras older than 2018 use ActiveX or VLC plugins. Modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) block these by default.

  Open Your Web Browser. Use Internet Explorer Mode in Edge (most reliable for older IP cameras), Chrome with the IE Tab extension, or Firefox. Note: Modern Chrome often blocks the plugins required for video streaming. hipcam default login

  • Locate the reset button (usually a tiny pinhole near the SD card slot or on the back of the camera).
  • With the camera powered on, use a paperclip or pin to press and hold the button for 10–30 seconds.
  • Release. The camera will reboot, and all settings (including the password) will revert to admin / 123456. You will also lose your WiFi settings, so you must reconnect via Ethernet cable to reconfigure.
