This has been one of my favorite songs for years. I contacted Rick back in 2002 about collaborating, partly because I had sung this song so many times. The recording is from Rick's Praise Classics 2 CD. - Elton, September 12, 2009

Lyrics

Lord, I lift Your name on high.
Lord, I love to sing Your praises.
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

Lord, I lift Your name on high.
Lord, I love to sing Your praises.
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

A Deep Dive into "La asistenta" (The Housemaid) by Freida McFadden: A Thriller That Bites When You Least Expect It (EPUB Review)

Overall Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

If you are a fan of psychological thrillers that feel like a cross between The Girl on the Train and Rear Window but with a modern, addictive twist, then Freida McFadden’s La asistenta (originally The Housemaid) needs to be at the top of your TBR pile. Having just finished the EPUB version on my e-reader, I can confidently say this is one of those rare books that hijacks your schedule. You’ll tell yourself “just one more chapter,” and suddenly it’s 2 AM.

What Works Brilliantly

  1. The Pacing: Freida McFadden is a former physician, and she writes with surgical precision. No filler. No boring descriptions of what Millie eats for breakfast. Every chapter ends with a hook.
  2. The Unreliable Narrator(s): Just when you decide who to trust, McFadden pulls the rug out. Millie has a criminal record, so you question her. Nina seems crazy, but is she? Andrew seems like a savior, but is he? The answer is deliciously complicated.
  3. The "Dark Protagonist" Appeal: Without spoiling the ending, Millie is not a passive victim. She is resourceful, strategic, and ultimately terrifying in her own right. The last 100 pages are incredibly empowering for anyone who has ever felt taken advantage of.

Other Features:

“I read this in one night. ONE NIGHT. My heart is still pounding. The twist at 70% made me scream out loud. Freida McFadden is evil genius.”Reader review, Goodreads (5 stars)

The Trap: Millie eventually discovers that her attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, but the Winchesters don't realize what she is truly capable of. Series & Format Information The book is the first in a popular trilogy: La Asistenta (The Housemaid) El Secreto de la Asistenta (The Housemaid's Secret) La asistenta te vigila (The Housemaid is Watching)

5. Vivlio, Casa del Libro, and Other Spanish Retailers

In Spain and Latin America, online bookstores like Casa del Libro, FNAC, and El Corte Inglés offer EPUBs. Always check that the format is EPUB (not PDF).
