Maintenance Charging & Storage

For batteries in storage, use float/maintenance mode or a dedicated smart maintainer to prevent sulfation.

Charge every 1–3 months if no maintainer is available; frequency depends on battery self-discharge rate and ambient temperature.

Store batteries at ~50%–70% charge for long-term storage if recommended by manufacturer; however, many prefer full charge plus maintenance to avoid sulfation for lead-acid batteries.
