About the Album: "Currents" is the third studio album by Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala, released on July 17, 2015, through Frog Eyes, Infinity Industries, and Astralwerks. The album was recorded by Kevin Parker, also known as Tame Impala, in a remote studio in Fremont, Western Australia.

The first track, Let It Happen, unzipped inside his commute. Leo was on the subway when the train’s screeching brakes melted into a 4/4 kick drum. The fluorescent lights dimmed into a strobe of purple and gold. Strangers began swaying in unison, their faces peaceful, as if gravity had softened. Leo tried to hold onto the pole, but his fingers phased through it—thwip—like it was made of water. He wasn't scared. He was dissolving.
