General Structure for Reviewing an Installation Manual

1. 1. With the device powered on, lift the top cover (scanner unit) until it locks.
   2. Wait for the print head holder (carriage) to move to the center.
   3. Unpack the two ink cartridges. Remove the orange protective cap only – do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles.
   4. Insert the black cartridge (PG-745) into the right slot. Press down until it clicks.
   5. Insert the color cartridge (CL-746) into the left slot. Press down until it clicks.
   6. Close the top cover.
   7. The TS1162 will automatically perform an ink system purge. This may take 2-3 minutes. Do not interrupt.
