Step 2 — Backup firmware (critical!)

• Go to “Firmware” tab → “Read All Modules”
• Save to a folder on another disk
• Also backup ROM (Read ROM → Save)

Firmware Backup: Before making any changes, always create a full backup of the ROM and SA modules to allow for restoration if the repair fails.

• Backup FW first
• Start with “Regenerate Translator” (lowest risk)
• Never clear the “P-list” (permanent defects) unless you fully understand it
